Virgin Islands History Month Cultural Education Challenges

"We Are All Stewards of Our Culture and Heritage"

The Division of Virgin Islands Cultural Education has launched three exciting student and classroom challenges to put this into practice for Virgin Islands History Month. The winners of each contest will receive mobile devices, thanks to the generous sponsorship of VIYA.

1. Students Digitized Storytelling Challenge: Share your unique stories and oral histories for a chance to win mobile devices! Three winners will be selected from each district.

2. Environmental Stewardship Program Challenge: "Cultivating Our Culture, Conserving Our Land": Teachers and Students, showcase your commitment to environmental stewardship and cultural preservation for a chance to win mobile devices! Three classes will be selected to win big from each district.

3. Teacher's VI History Door Challenge: Teachers, decorate your classroom doors with VI History Month themes for a chance to win MiFis with one year of service! Three winners will be selected from each district. https://goopenusvi.vide.vi/courseware/lesson/534

Submissions for each project are due by Friday, April 12th, 2024.
